Sniffle:
Today’s question comes from Lydia, who wants to know:
When you’re sitting back and chilling, what TV shows do you watch? Are you a fan of shows that are critical darlings, or do you secretly love the kind of genre stuff that most people won’t admit to getting into? For that matter, are you secretly a reality show fan? You can trust me with your secrets. I won’t be judgmental. Or not too much anyway.
I get asked questions like Lydia’s quite a bit – mostly when hanging out at my favorite coffee house (hey, it’s the Seattle area – everyone here’s got a favorite coffee house), so even though I know every reader is going to have a judgment about this (because every reader is, after all, human) here’s my reply:
Well, here’s Isabella Kapur writing about something Wil wrote about on Tumblr a couple-three days ago, so maybe he does:
by Isabella KapurIt’s been less than a week since Matt Smith officially announced his departure from Doctor Who and the speculation is already in full force. But while websites place odds on various actors and actresses, from Zawe Ashton to Russell Tovey, the identity of the actor truly chosen appears to have made it’s way to Wil Wheaton. On top of that, we may find out who it is ourselves earlier than expected.
It appears that Wil Wheaton may have heard the news from a Doctor Who related source, writing on his tumblr yesterday:

When we hear the news that Russell T. Davies, the humanistic genius who regenerated DOCTOR WHO and brought it to a whole new generation of TV viewers, was doing another science fiction series, WIZARDS vs. ALIENS, we jumped up and down with joy.
“Huzzah!” we shouted to nobody in particular. “RTD’s back in command of a cool sounding show. He’ll show Melancholy Moff [Steven Moffatt, who took over as writer-showrunner of DOCTOR WHO after RTD left] how the job is done.”
