The NBCUniversal-owned cable network, which recently entered the premium scripted space with anthology Dirty Johnhas handed out series orders to 10 more new shows to join a slate of 20 returning favorites. read article

Hank Isaac’s TV Series Project Gets Underway

NOTE FROM LB: I’m always happy to announce Hank Isaac’s projects and awards. His latest is especially close to my heart because, hey, kids, teaching, the future of media. Great topics all. Go, Hank, go!

As of Saturday morning, March 17, six talented young writers ranging in age from ten to thirteen started learning how to write a television series and ultimately actually write that series into production.

Writing will take place from now through the Summer with filming tentatively scheduled to begin in August. read article

The last time the Writers Guild of America negotiated an agreement between itself, on behalf of TV and film writers, and talent agencies, was back in 1976, so we’re probably not wrong when we say that it’s certainly time for a close examination into the ins and outs of that agreement. read article
