Well, according to a survey conducted by the totally unbiased and scientifically right on the nose team over at People Magazine and ABC’s 20/20 news show, TV’s all-time best series is…I LOVE LUCY!
(Wonder if anybody who took part in the survey actually saw that show first-run.)
Not exactly a shock, huh?

“Media Design School’s zombie romance ROTTING HILL is invading film festivals across the globe like an epidemic.”
Believe it or not, that isn’t our line, it’s the heading on a press release for a short film fully titled “ROTTING HILL: TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES.” Its makers go on to describe it thusly on their website:
Welcome to Rotting Hill, where a young couple embarking on a new relationship is about to discover that the path to true love is never what it seems. A CGI-Live Action Zombie Romantic Comedy from a team of seven digital artists studying Media Design School’s Advanced 3D Productions.

TVWriter™ got a press announcement the other day about a company named Mariner Software, which, it seems makes screenwriting software that neither we nor our friends have heard of. Now, admittedly, we have a pretty limited circle of friends (“Dammit, Jim, we’re writers not social butterflies!) so we’re putting out this call:
If anybody out there has experience with Mariner’s Personna, StoryMill, Mariner Write, and/or Paperless 2 software, for either mac or pc, give us a shout out, will you? And if you’d like to write a review, hey, that’s even cooler.
Yeah, we think it’s really freaky that this company is out and about and seems to be specializing in creative arts type software for, mostly, mac and we’ve never heard of it. So, please, somebody, enlighten us, okay?
Close your eyes. Concentrate. Can you see it?
In other words, the word on campus/around town/in L.A. is that Chuck Lorre, noted sitcom creator-writer-producer, largest money-maker at Warner Brothers TV, and mortal enemy of Charlie Sheen, has extended his Warner’s deal including “a component for feature films Lorre would write, develop and/or direct,” according to Deadline.Com.
As if that isn’t enough, Deadline.Com further adds that “Lorre also plans to expand his turf with forays into drama series and longform projects in addition to developing new comedy shows.”
