TV Resolution…What is It?

Back in the day, and yes, we mean LB’s day, television writers wrote while always keeping in mind the fact that “90% of most TVs have problems getting a decent image,” so you’ve got to make sure that the dialog can tell the story.”

Now that we’re out of the TV Stone Age, that specific fact no longer is relevant. On the other hand, however, the more we as writers rely on the images we urge our directors to create as well as the words, the more important it is to understand what makes TV shows look like, you know, TV shows.
