Here’s an important letter to the membership from the WGAW Honchos-In-Charge.
Why is this important?
Because over the long run, what happens in these negotiations will affect all those who write, or want to write, for TV whether they/you/we are members or not.
As a Page for NBC in the “Big ‘80s,” I worked a great many game shows that were taped at the Burbank studios during that era. SuperPassword, The New Let’s Make A Deal, Scrabble, and Wheel of Fortune. Next to Jeopardy and The Price is Right (on CBS), Wheel Of Fortune remains one of the most popular, long-lasting game shows to air on any network, broadcast, cable, syndicated or otherwise. Like Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune was created by talk show icon, and media mogul Merv Griffin.

Watch and listen and learn from the pros. And if you’re one of “those writers,” the kind who disdain actors, this should be an eye-opener.
We need to see more videos like this…but without the coronavirus in the forefront of our fears as we watch.
