Do You Know This Woman?

Cheryl Bloch

The woman in question is Cheryl Bloch, and if you’re a writer and you know her you should get in touch with Cheryl immediately cuz she’s the new Senior Vice President in charge of WE TV’s also new scripted division. Which means that she can hire you to create or run or just plain write any number of new series WE will be developing over the next zillion years.

WE TV has been kind of the poor woman’s Lifetime Network for awhile now, with a ton of reality shows intended to make housewives abandon their chores and settle in to see a ton of commercials every hour. Now, though, it’s developing a slate of scripted shows. Heading that effort is Cheryl Bloch who as a consultant put her imprimatur on the network’s first scripted series, THE DIVIDE, co-created by Richard LaGravanese and Tony Goldwyn.

Cheryl has also been a VP at Jennilind Productions and VP of drama development at Fox. So call her, or get your agent to call her. Get at it. Now! read article

Here’s the scoop, straight from the Marvel P.R. peeps:

After Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” hits theaters November 8, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will feel the repercussions November 19 with an all-new episode! [Exclamation point Marvel’s, of course!]

The episode, titled, THE WELL, takes place right after THOR: THE DARK WORLD ends, which means, we suppose, that we, the loving, eager audience, have like a ten day window in which to see THOR:TDW so we know what the bloody hell is going on. According to Marvel’s synopsis, the episode is about Coulson and his crew having to pick up the pieces of whatever funkiness went down with Thor and the Gods, with one of Coulson’s cronies in danger of being, um, “destroyed.” read article

DoctorWhoTheaterReleaseby Team TVWriter™ Press Service

THE DAY OF THE DOCTOR, AKA the long awaited 50th Anniversary Episode of DOCTOR WHO, isn’t just going to be a TV show. Oh, no, no, no. It’s also appearing in movie theaters all over the planet. As Who fans, we find this utterly amazing. (And as BREAKING BAD fans we wonder why the hell BB didn’t do this too before it checked out of our DVR list.

All the theater screenings will be in 3D, and they’ll all take place at the same time as the UK broadcast on BBC One November 23rd. If you’re in the UK, the good news is that 216 VUE, Cineworld, Odeon, BFI and Picturehouse cinemas in the UK and Ireland have already confirmed their participation, and tickets for the anniversary screening went on sale a few days ago, on Friday, October 25th in London, Birmingham, Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool, Cardiff and Edinburgh. (Here’s hoping they’re still available.)

Internationally, German, Russian, American and Canadian fans will be able to gather in cinemas to enjoy the simulcast release with approximately 30 cinemas in Germany and up to 50 theaters debuting the episode in Russia. The celebrations will cross time (and space) zones travelling over the equator to New Zealand and Australia where fans will have a choice of 106 cinemas across both countries to view the episode in 3D on the big screen on the 24th November, following the simulcast TV broadcast earlier in the morning. read article
