I just learned that Lilac – “Getting the Point Across” has become an official selection of the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards. This is an ongoing series of awards and screenings that you can learn more about HERE (scroll about 2/3 down the page)
We should know by April 2nd if the episode will be screened and by the 11th if it has won any awards. But just being an “official selection” is a good thing, too.
Maybe.
Nothing’s certain in this world, not even the number of students who will be taking the TVWriter™ Advanced Workshop that starts March 26th, a week from today.
Which means that regardless of where we end up with the students who’ve already said they’re signing on, I’m looking for 1 more to round out the class, so if you’ve been in one of the 147 (or is it 148?) 4-week sessions we’ve already had over the past 15 years and want to come back, as so many have, or have been thinking about taking it but haven’t fully committed yet, now seems like a good time to ease on in.
…And all I can say is that if I’d had any realistic hope of finding some new shows to watch regularly, it would’ve been dashed.

Yes, it’s true. I haven’t been posting much actually written by, um, me, lately. Mostly because of the pressures of moving (ooh, the Brodys finally bought a new house – yay!), health issues (ooh, all gone – yay!), house guests (ooh, still here – yay!), and coming up with the moolah to pay for it all (ooh, also still here – holy crap!) but my personal non-New Year’s resolution is to write more for TVWriter™ so I’m back for as long as you’ll have me.
