Podcast Sponsorships That Delight And Garner Top Dollar CPM.
Thinking about advertising in podcasts in general results in anxiety, indecision, derision, and blood feuds. The ads are usually intrusive, throwing you out of the story, awkward, and just plain bad. For fiction podcasts in particular that kind of advertising is so repulsive as to make most creators run the other direction. The ubiquitous Sean Howard of Fable and Folly (now Network) thinks there’s a better way. He asked Evan Gulock and Niko Gerentes from the podcast, Death by Dying, to put together a spec ad that would fit, if not seamlessly, then, smoothly into the format of their show. Read the article and listen to the ad.

Alba Salix, Royal Physician.
From Eli McIlveen and Sean Howard of Fable and Folly Productions (now Network) comes a terrific epic fantasy/comedy. Farloria’s Royal Physician has her work cut out for her. Fortunately, help is on the way. Unfortunately, that help is from Magnus, a troublesome young ex-monk and aspiring surgeon, and Holly, an accident-prone fairy herbalist. The production values are, well, professional. I’m especially fond of the interactions between Alba and the perennially up-beat Holly. Listen and laugh.
Until next week, same Pod-time, same Pod-channel, keep listening and keep creating.
