EXCLUSIVE: My Perceptions Of “The Bionic Woman” — And Beyond
by Herbie J Pilato
I will never forget the first time I saw The Bionic Woman television series.
Lindsay Wagner portrayed Jaime Sommers in a new spin-off from The Six Million Dollar Man, which featured Lee Majors.
Both shows aired on ABC in the mid-1970s, at the onset of my teenage years.
By the time The Bionic Woman began as a stand-alone series, I was a sophomore in high-school in my hometown of Rochester, New York. And on the night the show debuted in January 1976, I was alone in the red-brick double house that my family shared with my aunt, uncle, and cousin next door.
