Chapter 87 – Ending Out The Year
by Leesa Dean
A lot of stuff going on. Finally finished writing Season 2 of the Lele Show–well, mostly.
The scripts are done. But the way the show is formulated, there are tons of inserts that need to written and thought out.
So, I have another month of doing that and recording the voiceovers. Then I’m in production!!
Also, still putting together the promo plan for the show. There’s a lot to figure out and do so I have my work cut out for me.
Meanwhile, it’s the end of the year so I’ve been to a number of parties, two which were notable:
– The YouTube Diversity Holiday Bash. It really was great. Held at their NYC Chelsea Market space, I got there and the line was already winding around the corner. And this is for a limited RSVP event.
Got in, there was big open buffet and open bar. Everyone was wearing name tags so a ton of networking was going on. And before I knew it, the panel started. Yes, they had a killer panel which included YouTube stars Swoozie, Timothy DeLaGhetto andFranchesca Ramsey. Tim DeLaGhetto and Swoozie both have over 2.5Million subscribers–wow–and have been at it a long time. Franschesca’s been out here for a long time as well (she did the viral video Sh*t White Girls Say To Black Girls).
The advice they gave was really candid and helpful. It was also great to hear that even people that big had to deal with the same things the rest of us do, like trolls, putting in insane work hours, etc.
They were filming it. I hope they post it and if they do, I will.
And Wednesday went to the Collective Digital Holiday bash. Paul Kontonis who runs Big Screen Little Screen and is the founder of IAWTV invited me. I haven’t seen him in a while and it was great to catch up. He’s a super supportive guy and really knows the ins and outs of this business (he’s been involved since the beginning). I also got to touch base with a few cool people including one of the editors from TheVideoInk.
A great way to end out the year.
I’ll be back after the New Year. Want to wish all my readers a happy, healthy and wonderful holiday.
See ya in 2015!
Thanks for posting, LB & Munchman. And have a great holiday!
