LB: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Gang–

Just a short post to wish you all the best holiday season possible. No, make that the best Holiday season ever. No, wait, let’s just make it THE BEST HOLIDAY SEASON!!!

It’s been a terrific year for TVWriter™, the meandering minions, and myself. I want to thank all of you for hanging out on this site, taking the classes, entering the contests, and, most of all, contributing your own articles. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to know such a talented bunch of writers.

We’re going to take a week off here at TVWriter™ to recover from all the work (ha, they call this work?) we’ve put in, but we’ll be back with tons of new stuff and things January 1st. And, yes, I promise on my mother’s liver, the first thing that we’ll publish will be an update on the status of this year’s Spec Scriptacular. You’ll get the full breakdown of entries by category and show title, a reflection on what I’ve learned from becoming familiar – maybe too familiar – with all the entries, and the scoop on when we’ll be announcing Semi-Finalists, Finalists, and Winners.

Hint, we’ll be making the announcements in that particular order. Cuz it gets kinda anti-climactic when you start with the Winners and work backward. And believe me, I know my anti-climaxes after all the TV I’ve written and produced.

While I’m at it, here’s one of my favorite Christmas story ideas of all time. I’d love to see somebody (I’m talking to you, Curtis Gwinn) adapt this one for TV:

The late great Jack Kirby shows us why he's the King of Christmas
