BBC Worldwide, U.K. TV giant ITV, and AMC networks have launched subscription VOD service BritBox in the U.S. with a price tag of $6.99 per month after an introductory free trial period.
Time to Enter the Turner Writing Contest

The American Black Film Festival has joined with Turner Broadcasting to launch a TV Writing Contest for new diverse writers and invites them to submit an original drama or comedy (or both) pilot script.
Five finalists will be selected in each category, and the two winning entrants will receive a trip to the 2017 American Black Film Festival in exotic Miami Fla June 14th through June 18th of this year. Each will receive a cash prize of $500 and a meeting with Turner Original Programming execs.
Nickelodeon Writing Program Open for Submissions

Nick’s global Writing Program is one of the best in the biz, if they do say so themselves.
Alumni have gone on to create their own Nickelodeon shows and write for an assortment of TV series and films.
While in the Program, writers meet Nickelodeon’s series creators, work in writers’ rooms, and receive hands-on experience writing spec scripts and pitching story ideas in both live action and animated television, all while being provided a salary.
