I’ve been working like a psycho. So busy, in fact, I blew off going to last night’s YouTube NYC’s chat with Pixar people, which really looked great (plus, I had an edit session). Here’s what I’ve up to:

Deep into animating the new series.  At this point, I’m *hoping* I’ll be done in about 2-3 months. Working on three new projects with my production partner.  We both were super busy/caught up in the winter and now are back working with a vengeance. It feels great and productive and I’m loving the projects.

Finally, working working working on rewrite/reimagining of a project I originally thought would be a digital series.  Now I’m thinking of it as a 1/2 hour original pilot script and the Not-So-Secret Showrunners/Writers World on Twitter saved it. Let me me explain. read article

A Short History of L.A. BEER: The First Live Audience Web Series Sitcom

Last week, on May 11th, 2015 I became a part of making history. As a member of the team of independent writers/producers called The Grinders we released L.A. BEER: the first ever sitcom (think I Love Lucy or Big Bang Theory) Web series shot in front of a live audience.

Who knew this tiny project would grow to become something so big? L.A. BEER has been featured in Variety Tubefilter and The Video Ink. It’s the culmination of a journey that began over two years ago with group of people who had never met.

Actually, thanks to obvious budget inadequacy and all-round technical inexperience, there’s much about EXTRAORDINARY that’s pretty damn ordinary. But the show gives off a feeling of dedication and a sense that those making the series show just plain love, and that isn’t ordinary at all.
