Entry 17 – Our Weekly Update
(EDITOR’S NOTE: The Story So Far starts HERE)
Well, this week has been busy, to say the least. I’ve been hard at work, not only with Cargo 3120, but in other areas of my life: real estate, acting, short films, and family. But, as I write this, I’m seeing that busy is not entirely accurate; productive is more like it. And all I’ve done is stick to my 2015 schedule: health, family, work, and passion.
Now, I’ve made schedules before, but this seems to be different. It’s structured enough to maintain my focus, yet broad enough to allow life to happen spontaneously. In the past, my schedules were micromanaged down to the minute, and while sticking to them maintained productivity, at the end of each day I was exhausted. It was like all day long I was chasing the sun… Now, that’s an interesting concept, “chasing the sun”.
First off, the sun is also considered a star, depending on your perspective. And we are all trying to chase down and become the star we envision for our lives. But, the sun always seems to be moving. Depending on the time of day, it’s either in the east or the west, or even hidden if it’s night. So, how do you catch this elusive celestial body that represents everything we could ever want?
Well, the problem lies in our perception, because the sun never moves, the earth does. So, our problem is never with how complicated the goal may seem. It’s with the Earth we stand on which is in constant motion, just like our E-motions. Therefore, the trick is to make sure we look beyond ourselves and our circumstances when pressing forward. Otherwise, we can end up all over the place, exhausting ourselves, chasing after something that’s motionless.
