Cargo 3120: The Making of a Sci-Fi Franchise #18

Entry 18 – Making Adjustments

by  Aaron Walker Sr.

(EDITOR’S NOTE: The Story So Far starts HERE)

As you have no doubt noticed, we were unable to hit our January 2015 revised launch date. We tried everything within our power to release on time, but given where we were in January, we were forced to delay the release. This was not a decision that was easily made, but we here at Team Cargo thought it better to delay the release than to rush something that wasn’t quite ready for the public. This decision stems from the commitment of Team Cargo to produce a high quality webcomic that our readers deserve.

In our blogs on the making of Cargo 3120, we talked about the challenges faced while trying to produce an independent comic with no budget. We also talked about the difficulties of managing life, family, and full time jobs, all the while trying to carve time to work on our passion. During the process we set self-imposed deadlines in order to push ourselves to get things done. But sometimes we unfortunately fall short of those deadlines. So what do we do? Do we quit because we experience setbacks? Certainly not! We pick up the pieces and keep marching forward toward our ultimate goal: The release of Cargo 3120!

We assure you that progress is being made. As of this writing, we are preparing for our launch by making the necessary adjustments to the pages that are completed. On the writing side, we are we are half way done with the 3rd script! We will also have new content on the website coming soon as well, including:

  • New blog posts on the Making of Cargo 3120
  • New Character Profiles and images
  • Updated images for existing character profiles
  • Expanded universe information (Alien Race info, Planetary Government info, etc…)
  • New concept art, and much more…

We hope that you will continue with us on this journey of making Cargo 3120 a reality. We promise, it will be worth the wait!
