(UPDATE: THIS JUST IN: Carla Won!!!)
We’re so darn proud:
The Vancouver International Women in Film Festival is grateful for the ongoing support of the UBC Creative Writing Program. Once again, in a show of generous support for the development of screenwriting in the Vancouver community, the UBC Creative Writing Program is sponsoring and presenting the UBC Creative Writing Award to the winner of this year’s International Screenwriting Competition.
We would also like to recognize the expert jury that gave of their time and knowledge to get the festival to this point, the announcement of our finalists. The jury is as strong as any in the world, coming to the table with training, experience, and awards of their own. A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to Angela Crosato, Sasha Duncan, Rebecca Hales, Bill Hurst, Dee LeBlanc, Nisha Shankar, and Kelly Tatham. Without these seven people, this event could not only exist, it couldn’t grow the way it has.
