Increasingly actors more known for their TV and movie roles are appearing on podcasts. Among the reasons they list: being able to play against type, a smaller time commitment, working with people other than the Hollywood machine.

New Podcast Studio Paradiso Launches With Series for Spotify, Sybel.

Variety reports the launch of “Paradiso, an international podcast production studio dedicated to delivering premium scripted, documentary and kids’ content for global platforms.” Paradiso will establish teams in Paris, Los Angeles, and London, and expect to create and produce 12 original series in multiple languages by the end of 2020. They also want to build a library of shows that can be adapted to film and TV. Start working on those pitches.
