Podcasting Has A Discoverability Problem. Here’s A Tool That Can Solve That.

In spite of the rather — um — hyperbolic title this article by Ren LaForme of the Poynter Institute highlights a tool that an increasing number of podcasters, both fiction and nonfiction, are using to good effect, Headliner. Headliner will take your audio-only file and convert it to an audiogram, a “video” file that can be uploaded to social media. Three major selling points for Headliner: 10 free videos per month, free transcription of your video, and automatic uploads to social media sites, including YouTube and Vimeo. I’ll be giving this a try soon.

Advertising a Podcast, Part 2.

This second part of a three-part article on Podnews by the incredibly generous Sean Howard of Fable and Folly Productions, the creators of Alba Salix, Royal Physician and the improvised sci-fi dark comedy, Civilized, shows Sean’s work as he analyses the data to determine how much good paid ads do. With unexpected results.
