A few months back, porn studio Flava Works and the MPAA launched a legal campaign against site myVidster to outlaw the embedding of videos that weren’t uploaded with the permission of the copyright holders. Specifically Hypothetically, you could be punished for posting an old N*Sync video to you blog that wasn’t uploaded by Vevo (or whoever). Thankfully the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals struck that case down. read article

BBC America Joins British ‘Musketeers’ Series – by Michael O’Connell

BBC One’s previously announced The Musketeers has gotten a new production partner in BBC America.

The stateside cable sibling will co-produce the 10-episode drama inspired by Alexandre Dumas‘ classic novel, The Three MusketeersAdrian Hodges, the My Week With Marilyn writer who’s TV work includes British series Survivors and Primeval, is penning the venture, currently slated for a 2013 debut. read article
