DR. HORRIBLE’S SING-ALONG BLOG Will Make its TV Debut on the CW – by TeamTVWriter Press Service
Joss Whedon’s much-beloved interweb classic “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog,” starring Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day,” will make its television debut on Tuesday, October 9 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) on The CW.
Created by the Josster back in 2008 as a 3-part web musical, the show stars Neil Patrick Harris as a budding super villain whose plans for world domination keep getting screwed up, which is of course par for the course for somebody whose two goals in life are:
- Being accepted into the Evil League of Evil
- Getting the cajones to talk to his laundromat crush, played by Felicia Day
Also starring Nathan Fillion as Harris’ nemesis, DR. HORRIBLE was written by Maurissa Tancharden, Jed Whedon, Joss Whedon and Zack Whedon, with music by Jed Whedon and Joss Whedon, and directed by – oh, that’s right – Joss Whedon. Even if you’ve seen the web version 623 times (or more), we still recommend that you watch it on the CW if for no other reason than the network is finally doing something cool and deserves some props, don’t you think?
