With NBC using its Summer Olympics platform to launch series as early as August and Fox already going out in September, the younger-skewing network will launch its returning and freshman series starting Oct. 2 with its Rachel Bilson dramedy Hart of Dixie.

Supernatural will return for its eighth season and first on its new night the following day, with the final season of Gossip Girl set for Oct. 8. Rookie entries Arrow, Beauty and the Beast and Emily Owens, M.D.,follow on Oct. 10, 11, and 16, respectively. read article
