No, not Batman’s Superman’s Metropolis, Fritz Lang’s 1927 classic. If you’ve got any interest at all in:
Science Fiction
Cinema History
Soaring Imagination
Amazing Visuals
Hot Heavy Metal Babes
…you’ll get yourself to Netflix and watch till your eyeballs melt.
And then you’ll go to Kino International (the folks who did all the restoration work) and immerse yourself in fanboy heaven till your brain erupts in Metropolitan rebellion.

Not Batman’s Metropolis? Superman is from Metropolis. Anyway, I saw this restoration recently. I have seen several versions over the years, one in a movie theater with 1980’s music. The footage they found in South America was so damaged they could only restore it to a certain point, it is still scratchy looking compared to the rest of the film, but it makes the story more complete.

“Batman’s Metropolis?!” Ayyiyi!
There’s got to be a way to make this munchman’s fault. But until I can come up with it – mea culpa. Thanks, Robin.
Fritz’s city always felt like Batman’s Metropolis to me.
