The Doctor Who anniversary news just keeps coming with the announcement of The Light at the End, an all new 100-minute story featuring Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann. They’ll be reprising their roles as the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Doctors who team up to fight the Master (Geoffrey Beevers). The Doctors will also be joined by some of their companions and additional not yet announced characters from the television series.
“We wanted to do a proper, fully-fledged multi-Doctor story for this very special occasion,” says writer, director and executive producer Nicholas Briggs, “and it’s wonderful that all the surviving Doctors threw themselves behind the project so enthusiastically. That’s not to say the first three Doctors don’t appear – we wanted to pay homage to the whole history of the classic series.”
The production will be available as a 5-disc limited edition that includes two hour-long documentaries and a Companion Chronicles tale called The Revenants or as a standard 2-disc edition. You can preorder now with a release date sometime in November.
Goosebumps.
