The SPEC SCRIPTACULAR, TVWRITER.COM, Cloud Creek Communications, Inc., Larry Brody, and their employees and representatives will not use the submitted material or any part thereof, except in connection with this competition unless the writer(s)-submittor(s) grant them rights to the material, or the aforementioned parties determine in good faith that the writer(s)-submittor(s) do not own or control the material because all or parts of it were independently developed by others, are in the public domain, or are otherwise not novel, new, or the property of the writer(s)-submittor(s).

All prizes are awarded using the same criteria prevalent in the Television and Film Business, on the basis of writing excellence, commercial appeal, and demonstrated potential.

If in the judgment of the SPEC SCRIPTACULAR, TVWRITER.COM, Cloud Creek Communications, Inc., or Larry Brody, the Grand Prize and/or First Prize winning entries do not meet minimum professional standards as defined by their years of experience in television development, then some or all prizes may not be given and more suitable prizes of lesser value may be awarded, and/or no Winner, Finalists, or Semi-Finalists may be named.

It is to be understood that the Grand Prize Winner will receive the Grand Prize instead of and not in addition to the Category Prize to which he/she/they might otherwise be entitled.

Prizes are not transferrable. Any prize not claimed within 6 months of the announcement of the winners will be deemed to have been refused and therefore to have expired.
